MN Alpaca Expo

Our little Grace took 2nd in her Juvenile Bay Black Female class at the MN Alpaca Expo on Saturday.  She wasn't nearly as squirrely as her dam was in the show ring (thank you Grace!).

Papa Bear was Ring Steward half the day on Sunday, working alongside the Australian judge Peter Kennedy while I lined up each class of exhibitors as the Gate Keeper outside the huacaya ring.

It's a very nice show, and we had a lot of fun. We're looking forward to the Great Midwest Alpaca Festival in Madison in a few weeks. In the meantime, Grace will be hanging out with some new buddies at Kinney Valley Alpacas in La Farge, WI until the Madison show.

In addition to two shows this month, we will once again be heading over to Kinney Valley Alpacas to get some more shearing training.  PB went last year also, but I had a work assignment in Denver that prohibited me from joining them.  Not so this year, so I'll be there when the fleece starts flying.

Have a great week everyone -

Funny how things change, eh? To his credit, he just goes along with me more than he chooses this stuff!
